時を表す in / on / at は、日本語で「〜に」と訳されることが多いので混乱しやすいです。ですが、それぞれの イメージ をつかむと覚えやすくなります！

基本のイメージ

  • in = 大きな入れ物の中にいる感じ
    →「広い時間の入れ物の中」
    例：
    • in the morning（朝という入れ物の中で）
    • in July（7月という大きな箱の中で）
    • in 2025（2025年という入れ物の中で）
  • on = 表面の上に乗っている感じ
    →「カレンダーやスケジュール表の表面の上」
    例：
    • on Monday（月曜日という“1日”の上）
    • on September 3rd（9月3日という日付の上）
    • on my birthday（誕生日という日付の上）
  • at = 点をピンポイントで指す感じ
    →「時間のある一点を指さす」
